396 more Covid-19 cases, Utah reported 6 deaths on Sunday



SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health on Sunday reported six more deaths from the disease and 1,8611 more vaccinations administered against the disease, with 66 confirmed cases of Covid-1 of the state.

The state has now registered 707 new cases every day and in the last week it has a positive test rate of 12.5%.

Currently, 167 Utahns are hospitalized for alleged covid-1 to, including 63 in inclusive care. Sunday’s number came as more 7,3977 tests were reportedly taken.

In all, 378,379 COVID-19 cases have now been confirmed in the state and 4,007,693 tests have been conducted. The government has administered 1,009,029 vaccines. As Spencer Cox promised Saturday, the figure crossed 1 million – and 2,027 residents lost to the virus.

“The state of Utah has reached an important milestone today in the fight against COVID-19. More than 10 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state,” the Department of Health said in a statement. “Thank you to those of you who have already gotten your shots. For the rest of you, please get vaccinated when it’s your turn. That’s how we get our lives back.”

Out of these million plus vaccines, 365,176 outbreaks have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Complete vaccination requires one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.

The six deaths reported on Sunday are as follows:

  • A Davis County man over 85, a long-term care facility resident
  • The Salt Lake County man, aged between 45 and 64, was hospitalized when he died.
  • Utah County woman, aged 65 to 84, who was a resident of the long-term care facility
  • Utah County man, aged 84 to Ut 84, who was not hospitalized at the time of his death
  • Two Utah County men, aged 45 and 64, have been hospitalized

There is no coronavirus news conference from state leaders scheduled for the weekend. Cox will hold his regular weekly news conference this weekend; The convention is usually held on a Thursday.
