How fast can COVID-19 spread through a soccer team? If Clemson is any indication, very fast.

Clemson has already had 37 of his 120 players test positive this month, according to the Greenville News.

There is good news: none of the Clemson players have required hospitalization. Healthy youth often have mild symptoms or no symptoms. Although responsible people do what they can to avoid becoming infected, and therefore avoid infecting anyone else, some players may want to contract the virus before the season in the hope that the antibodies will protect them from getting sick during the season.

But the NFL has to watch out for the spread of the virus on college football teams and worry about how the virus can spread on NFL training grounds. It will be a major challenge to keep players healthy when the season begins during a pandemic.
