3 takeaways from day 7 of practice for Buffalo Bills training camps

After a delay in their offseason schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Bills players finally started to come on the field and tease each other. With even before games canceled prior to seasons, every practice day held in Orchard Park is that much more important before the team’s season season against the Jets on Sept. 13.

After an early weekend involving false positive COVID-19 tests for the Bills that kept boys off the field, the team was back on the practice field with (mostly) everyone. At least, everyone who is healthy. Here are three takeaways from Bills Day 7 practice camps:

Stefon Diggs bang

Oh, oh, the Bills got their first … really, really scary moment of training camp, but from the sounds of it, the horror was countered. According to … everyone under the sun went down the field and Stephan Diggs got himself booked for a foul. A nightmare of sorts for the Bills.

According to ESPN, there was a problem with Diggs’ right leg. Diggs jumped up and came back there, fortunately (for the Bills). WGR-550 radio noted that Diggs might not even have missed a rep out there, which is how quickly he got back into action. Still keep Diggs’ right leg in mind. Maybe the Bills will give him a day off to rest it on Tuesday? Or along the way, could something blow up? Although clearly talented, Diggs actually had his share of bumps and bruises while he was with the Vikings. He has played at least 13 games in each of his first five seasons, however Diggs has never played in a full 16 games, so he will normally miss one or two outings. Maybe Bills’ training staff can buy that trend for him?
