S.T. Claire County, Mitch. – Three new cases of more contagious COVID-19 B117 variant Has been identified in St. Clair County.
St. Clair County health officials said their county’s first case of B117 was identified in February. Now, three additional cases have been confirmed.
The cases were found in a man in his 30s, a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 40s, the health department said.
Men and women have completed loneliness in their 40s, but women in their 60s have died ever since, officials said.
According to St. Clair County health officials, the woman in her 40s had close contact with her woman in her 60s.
B117 was originally identified in the United Kingdom, but is widespread in the United States. It has passed more easily among people, but there is no indication that it leads to a more serious case of Covid-19, experts said.

St. Clair County Health Department’s Medical Health Department. “We’re doubling down on a variety of cases,” Annette Mercante said. “Suspicious cases will be approached more often and need to be kept separate for 10 vs. 14 days.
“The variant can be more contagious, so the virus could potentially infect more people with less exposure. It is imperative to continue to follow all preventive measures as our residents are studying the severity of the disease in particular and the effectiveness of the vaccine for variants. “
