23 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana from Friday to Saturday


Montana reported 23 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, June 27, and active hospitalizations decreased from 14 to 9.

The state reports 226 active cases and 604 people listed as recovered.

Although the state reports 852 cases in total, MTN does not include a counted case in Jefferson County that dates back to an out-of-state county resident who did not contract the virus in Montana.

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 is now 22. On Friday, Rosebud County health officials confirmed on Facebook the death of a person residing in the county who no longer lived there.

The Rosebud County publication did not say where, or if, the person was in Montana at the time of death, but is counted as a COVID-19 death in the state due to the state of residence.

There have been six other deaths from COVID-19 in Toole County, three in Yellowstone County, two in Cascade County and two in Flathead County. The other deaths have been reported in Big Horn, Gallatin, Lincoln, Madison and Missoula counties.
