The new interior will feature “elegant airiness” and “lounge features,” according to a Wednesday news release. Mercedes sees it as a “third place”, as, the “table between home and work.” But because we are all stuck in a global pandemic at the moment, the car could move to a “second place”.
Mercedes says it took a lot of inspiration from elements of yacht design. There will be plenty of open pore wood veneers and real aluminum inlays.
