In mid-July, the Daimler people spilled the beans on the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series – A new race car derived from GT3 for track and street. At 720 horsepower, 590 pound-feet of torque and promising ridiculous amounts of downforce thanks to its weird ground effects and wing package, we knew the GT Black was going to be expensive, but we didn’t know how much.
Today, we have a much better idea: Although we do not yet have an MSRP in the US market, the German automaker revealed the price of the model’s home continent on Friday, and it’s as aggressive as we imagine the flat-twin-turbo Crank V8 will be: 335,240 euros. That equates to almost $ 390,000, or more than triple the standard starting price, and perfectly wonderful. AMG-GT ($ 115,900 plus delivery).

That price, of course, doesn’t include any options, including the AMG Magma Beam nuclear paint seen here, which runs the extra $ 10,000 euro equivalent. Many Black Series customers are also likely to opt for the AMG Track Pack, which features a titanium roll-over protection system, spicy carbon bucket seats, matching four-point seat belts, and a fire extinguisher, Yours for the sale price of $ 8,800.
In the great tradition of the Black Series, this last ticket is not cheap. But with a 0-62 mph time in 3.2 seconds, a 0-124 mph time of 9 seconds, and a top speed of 202 mph, you can probably beat your counter. And hey, if you can’t afford to order an AMG-GT Black 2021 Series, dreaming is free.
