The Chevrolet Camaro is in trouble. The next generation version of the muscle car is still a blur at this point and reports of the death of the nameplate have been circulating since last year. The stupid sales number does not help his case of survival – the last was in Q2 2020 in which the sales of the Camaro fell by almost 50 percent compared to its figures last year.
But Chevy is not giving up on his muscle car yet. At least in the near future we will see updates about the Camaro, especially in the looks department. One of these is the Wild Cherry Design package, which we reported on in May.
This time, an image of the supposed special edition has emerged, courtesy of the GM Authority. The image, which you can see above, was said to have been obtained exclusively through the publication. While the Wild Cherry Design package will also use cabin enhancements, this initial image only includes the exterior design.
Two variations of the Wild Cherry Design package come, per our previous report. The order code of the first version is PDL, which comes with black metal hash stripes, 20-inch five-spoke polished wheels with Camaro logos on wheel covers, floor mats with Camaro logos, and Camaro fender badges.
The second, which is the image above, goes through the order code PDN. In addition to the PDL version, the PDN gets a black fuel door with carbon insert, Carbon Flash Metallic floor effects, and a center strip of silver, black and black metallic. A black knob of suede is added to close out the cab improvements.
The Wild Cherry Design package will be available on all trim levels of Camaro except the basic 1LT models and the ZL1.
