Rocket Mortgage Classic: Expectations for the second round

We’ve already hosted some unmissable TV shows at the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic, and not necessarily because of a star-studded field, but rather because of the potential to unearth compelling stories. Last year, the event had an eventful debut when Nate Lashley won the tournament and Monday’s qualifier Doc Redman finished second. We have the potential for more drama this coming weekend with contenders scattered across the field.
Redman proved his worth Thursday, taking a lead share on 7-base after 18 holes. He has a host of challengers, including Scott Stallings and Kevin Kisner with whom he shares leadership, but the biggest competitor could be Bryson DeChambeau. The mad scientist has been destroying the golf ball with his new physique and sits only one behind in Friday’s action.
