In addition to offering great driving cars, Porsche is also known for its extensive list of optional features. You could easily buy a whole car with how much you can spend on options alone.

There are appearance options. There are performance options. There are technical options. There are options for things you would not even think are optional, such as changing the fuel cap to look like it was finished in aluminum or something like that called the “Rear Member Grille Vertical Slat Inlays in Exterior Color.”

I tested a 2020 911 Carrera S recently and love it. You can read the full review here. The car’s basic hardware – its engine, transmission, steering, brakes – were all beautiful to look at. But because passenger cars are also an ungoverned medium through which motorists can really approach journalists with options, this one was called quite handy.

The base price of the car was $ 113,300, but its total MSRP raised $ 135,840. That means it had up to $ 31,190 worth of options on board, because delivery, processing and handling cost $ 1,350. With the money that only went to options here, you could buy a full Nissan Versa in 2020, starting at $ 14,830, and then some.

What options were there, you ask? How many were they? Which of them was worth it and which was not?
