2020 PGA Championship odds, picks, predictions: Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka clear favorites

Grand Championship golf enters its last 18 holes on Sunday at the 2020 PGA Championship, and the Leaderboard is absolutely, positively stacked. Dustin Johnson’s restless third round pits him against his peers at 9 while entering Round 4 at TPC Harding Park, but there are plenty of great golfers and rising stars looking to knock him off his bar.

Scottie Scheffler and Cameron Champ are both one shot back from Johnson, although it is Brooks Koepka (-7) who has the one to one best odds of winning on Sunday. Koepka has won back-to-back PGA Championships and is looking to become the first golfer to hit three turfs for the Wanamaker Trophy in nearly a century.

Collin Morikawa (-7) is behind Koepka ahead of Scheffler and Champ, while Paul Casey (-7) follows as golfers within two shots of the lead. Ahead of the next group is Bryson DeChambeau, who impressed on Saturday with a 4-under 66.

Here’s a look at the updated odds through 54 holes for the 2020 PGA Championship at Harding Park, via William Hill Sportsbook. The odds shifted throughout the day, so Johnson became even more of a favorite entering the final round.

If who’s going to win … our CBS Sports experts will take a second crack at picking the winner of the 102nd PGA Championship. Take a look at their predictions below, coming up in a few minutes.

Kyle Porter – Brooks Koepka (9/2): This won Koepka from his fifth major who wrote it all. He got his bad round out of the way on Saturday, while most of the rest of the board went with great pit days. He saved himself narrowly from having to shoot 65 on Saturday with a 3-3-3 finish on Saturday, and if he wins, that will be the reason why it happens.

Chip Patterson – Brooks Koepka (9/2): I’m stuck with my choice to win at the beginning of the week because all three rounds have checked all the boxes I have to see for him to push the PGA. Even with some bad approach shots, Koepka seems to have no lack of confidence in his decision making, and eventually his advantage of the tea and his experience in these places will help him to separate from a star-studded group at the top.

Adam Silverstein – Xander Schauffele (33-1): Four back from DJ entering the final round, Schauffele was my choice from the start, and I will probably throw a few dollars more at him Sunday despite his long odds. As Porter noted, Schauffele came from behind on Sunday for basically all of his victories (though not so much on majors). Maybe that will change Sunday as he competes for his first major championship just a few hours away from his home. Considering that Schauffele is seven times the yield as Koepka, I stuck with him. (But yes, I also ride with 9/2 with Koepka – for all the reasons mentioned above.)
