The Minnesota Timberwolves picked Anthony Edwards with the No. 1 pick from Georgia on Wednesday night to get the 2020 NBA draft rolling.
The draft boards moved up in the days leading up to the Edwards draft board. The former Bulldogs had a solid fresh season, averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steels.
“It’s an indescribable feeling,” Edwards said virtually on an ESPN broadcast. “I can’t even describe it. So many emotions. My family is emotional. I think I’ll be emotional when I get out of here. Staying in this position is out of step. “
