2020 3M Open Odds: Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Tony Finau, favorites in TPC Twin Cities

The PGA TOUR heads to the Land of 10,000 Lakes this week for the second edition of the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn. It is only the second tournament during Back to Golf that has remained in its original place on the calendar.

Some of the star-studded fields have spoiled us in the past two months and we are one week away from a WGC and two weeks away from the PGA Championship, so it’s no wonder that the ticket list for the 3M is missing some of the game’s heavyweights. Lack of star power has given this week’s odds a very different look.

There’s nothing too haunting at the top of the board, but things get really funky pretty fast after the favorites.

Dustin Johnson it opened as the only favorite at +1200 ($ 10 bet wins $ 120). It may be a bit odd to see DJ as the sole favorite considering he just missed the cut with a performance of 16 at the Memorial, but Johnson’s previous outing was a victory for The Travelers and he has been in good shape during the I’m back in golf, so it’s not surprising to see bookmakers install it as the best in TPC Twin Cities.

Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka are next at +1400. Finau led the first round and had a three-stroke lead Saturday at the Memorial, but he (along with everyone else) struggled over the weekend and finished eighth.

Koepka was able to make the cut at Muirfield Village but never got going and finished T62 at age 12 for the tournament.

Perhaps the most intriguing name on this part of the board is Tommy Fleetwood, who is making her Return to Golf debut at 3M. Most golf fans expected Fleetwood to hang up in England this week for the British Masters, but with a WGC and PGA Championship in the offing, Fleetwood made the decision to get some replays in America. The Merseysider has opened to +1800 along with its compatriot, Paul Casey.

And this is where things start to get really funky. Lucas Glover He has been in excellent shape since TOUR resumed play, but it will take a while to get used to seeing him with the sixth highest probability (along with Bubba Watson) for the PGA TOUR event. Glover and Watson are currently at +2500 and the only golfers listed between 20-1 and 30-1 on DraftKings.

Defender of title Matthew Wolff He is next in line at +3300 and will seek to follow his dramatic 2019 eagle. Harris English and Russell Henley They are right behind Wolff at +3500 and are the only other golfers listed below 40-1.

The midlevel is riddled with players who, on deeper fields, are generally labeled with triple-digit odds. Lucas’s List, fresh out of a surprising top 10 at the Memorial, has seen his odds drop dramatically, from +25000 last week to +4000 this week.

Former Golden Gopher of the University of Minnesota Erik van Rooyen It could be a popular move in this range at +5000 given its connection to the area and a T22 finish at the Memorial. Sam Burns He didn’t play at Jack’s Place last week, but the LSU product has achieved three results in the top 30 in the spin, making it also one to watch out for at +5000.

A few weeks ago, Doc Redman I was attracting a lot of betting support after a couple of notable performances on The RBC Heritage and Travelers, but gambling is an effort from what you’ve been doing for me lately, so Redman can get a little through the cracks in the 3M Open. It is listed on +5500 with Brian Harman and Ryan Moore.

Henrik Norlander +6600 is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Fresh out of a T6 at the Memorial, Norlander’s shocking numbers have been impressive in the past two events. Casual punters may not be as familiar with Norlander, but I would expect it to be a hot choice within the betting industry.
