20 new cases of COVID-19 in southeast Idaho


SOUTHEAST IDAHO (KIFI / KIDK) – Southeast Idaho Public Health has 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

There are 11 new cases in Bannock County, one in Bear Lake County, five in Bingham County, two in Caribou County, and one in Power County.

This brings the total to 371 confirmed cases in southeast Idaho.

Of the total of 418 confirmed and probable cases, 283 have been recovered from COVID-19.

Eastern Idaho Public Health reports 24 new cases. There are 17 new cases in Bonneville, three in Jefferson, three in Madison, and one in Teton. You can see more HERE.

To help prevent the spread of this virus, it is more important than ever that the public follows the following prevention methods.

  • Follow Governor Little’s Idaho Stay-Healthy state order at rebound.idaho.gov.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Avoid sick people.
  • Use fabric face liners in public places.
  • Practice social distancing (6 feet).
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or sleeve when you cough or sneeze.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your unwashed hands.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs using a disinfecting solution.
