The dead – two men and two women – were from Burling, Grand Forks and Williams County. Both men were in their 40s, while women were in their 80s and 90s.
Only 19 residents have died in their 40s since COVID-19 in the state. In North Dakota, 1.4% of those infected with the virus have died.
The state added 133 new cases of the virus on Saturday. Fargo’s County County has led the state with 27 new cases, while Bismarck’s Burleigh County has added 13 cases. Rowlett County and Williams County in Williston each reported 11 new cases.
There are a total of eight new cases in Grand Forks County. Morton, Ramsey and Ward counties each added seven new cases.
Barnes, Benson, Bottinau, Bowman, Dickey, Emmons, Hettinger, Logan, Mintosh, McKenzie, M Klein, Mercer, Mountrail, Oliver, Richland, Stark, Steele, Stuttman, Turner and Welchwall Case of 19.
New cases have come out of 3,219 tests, with a daily positive rate of 4.5%.
The department has registered 73 new recoveries. About 96% of those infected with COVID-19 in the state have recovered.

Statewide active cases rose slightly from Thursday, December 24. The number of active cases increased by eight from Thursday to a total of 2,329 on Saturday.
Case County’s 530 active cases led the state on Saturday, down 16% from last Saturday’s figure.
Burling County has seen a 27% drop in active cases in the last seven days. There are a total of 283 active cases in the county on Saturday.
153 active cases were reported in Ward County on Saturday; There are 138 active cases reported in Stetsman County, Jamestown.
Grand Forks County reported 132 active cases Saturday, while Williams County and Morton County reported 121 and 112 active cases, respectively.
Across the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 18,391,571 cases of COVD-19 and 325,096 deaths were attributed to the virus as of Thursday afternoon.
