Alabama added 1,846 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday when hospitalization for the virus peaked.
The Alabama Department of Public Health’s 10 am July 20 numbers show 67,711 COVID-19 cases in the state with 1,257 deaths. The state’s death count has increased by 3 since yesterday.
As of July 19, there are 1,465 coronavirus hospitalizations in the state, the highest since recording began in March.
Alabama has screened 592,608 people for coronaviruses, 168,319 in the past two weeks. Of those recent tests, 21,965, about 13%, have been positive.
