18 more COVID-19 deaths, 701 new cases, 251 new recoveries

IOWA

(KWWL) – There were 701 new and confirmed cases from 10 am on Wednesday to 10 am on Thursday, according to the state board, which brings the total number of cases in the state to 36,737.

The state website says that of the 36,737 people who tested positive, 27,353 recovered. This is 251 more recoveries than the state reported Wednesday.

Eighteen additional deaths were reported within this time period, leaving the state’s death toll at 777.

There were 30 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 195. Of those hospitalizations, 65 are in the ICU and 34 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, 8,147 new tests were performed for a total of more than 392,912 that were analyzed for COVID-19.

BLACK HAWK COUNTY

the Black Hawk County COVID-19 Dashboard It has not been updated since 10 am on Wednesday. As of 10 am Wednesday, there are 28 more cases since 10 am Tuesday for a total of 3,160 reported cases. There are nine more recoveries for a total of 1,907. An additional death was reported in the county, leaving a total of 60 deaths.

LINN COUNTY

According to the Linn County Dashboard COVID-19 At 10 am Thursday, there were 49 additional cases in the county, leaving a total of 1,501 cases reported. There were also 15 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 1,248. There have been no more COVID-19 related deaths in the county, leaving a total of 84 deaths. There are 8 current hospitalizations in the county.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According to the state dashboard At 10 am Thursday, there are 45 new positive cases reported in Johnson County, for a total of 1,552 reported cases. There are 5 more reported recoveries for a total of 943. A total of 19,381 have been tested. There have been no additional COVID-19 related deaths in the county, for a total of 8.

DUBUQUE COUNTY

According to the state dashboard At 10 am Thursday, there are 47 new positive cases reported in Dubuque County for a total of 1,074 reported cases. There were six additional recoveries, reported for a total of 447. A total of 16,231 people have been evaluated. There were no additional COVID-19-related deaths in the county, for a total of 23.
