17 new COVID-19 cases have public health warnings of Calaveras


SAN ANDRESS, CA – Calaveras County has seventeen additional cases of COVID-19 and health officials are warning of a possible surge.

The Kalevaras Public Report includes three women between the ages of 0-6, three women and three men aged 18-49, two women and four men between the ages of 50 and 64 and one woman and one man in six of the 65 cases in District 1. There are three in District 3, five in District 4, and three in District 5.

There are a total of 390 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the county. That number includes 214 women and 176 men. The highest number of cases is in the 1-4–49 age group, with 1 followed by 15 followed by plus 65 plus 16 12. There are 24 active cases and 345 individuals who have recovered. Unfortunately, 21 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

With increasing numbers health officials are urging caution and encouraging people to take the necessary steps to avoid exposure to the virus and helping the county continue to reduce its risk level. Calaveras County remains at the minimum risk level (yellow) on the state’s 4-level COVID-19 system, meaning most indoor operations are open with changes.
