13 new cases of coronavirus reported among Yukon students – NBC Connecticut


Thirteen new cases of coronavirus were reported among on-campus and traveling students at the University of Connecticut on Saturday.

School officials said the current 1 campus case is ongoing or the suspected 35 campus uteruter cases (passenger students) are positive.

The school said that this includes six new on-campus positive cases and seven new new off-campus positive cases since yesterday.

In total, the school said, since the test began on August 14, they have recorded a stored figure of 95 confirmed positive residential student cases.

Of the 95 confirmatory cases, school officials said 55 have recovered and left loneliness.

According to the school, officials are aware of the cases in which off-campus stores students were tested as they would visit classes. Two faculty and staff members who are expected to work regularly on campus have also tested positive.

The school said the campus positive rate at Yukon stores is currently 1.42 percent among residential students. Students will be tested several times, the school said.
