11,000+ COVID-19 cases were reported in Florida for the second day in a row


Miami – The Florida Department of Health reported more than 11,000 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, the second day in a row.

The state has witnessed the biggest increase in 11,699 new cases in a single day since July 25, surpassing the 11,335 new cases announced on Thursday.

An additional 123 resident deaths were also revealed as a result of COVID-19 in Florida on Friday.

Since the onset of the epidemic, 1,106,396 cases and 19,714 resident deaths have been confirmed as a result of COVID-19 in the state. Another 263 non-residents have died of COVID-19 in Florida, according to the state dashboard, and 57,728 coronavirus-related hospitalizations have been admitted since the outbreak began.

The state’s test positivity rate rose from 8.11% on Wednesday to 7.9% on Thursday.

Worldwide, the total number of coronavirus cases is over 70 million and the total number of COVID-19 deaths is over 1.5 million, according to figures compiled from various sources by Johns Hopkins University. There are more than 15.8 million coronavirus cases in the United States and 295,000 covid-19 deaths.
