Xbox “Edinburgh” leaks online

The Xbox Series X will launch sometime this holiday season, and if you believe the latest rumors and reports, it will be accompanied by the Xbox Series S, a cheaper and less powerful version of the first. With that said, there may now be a third unknown Xbox console called Xbox “Edinburgh”. What “Edinburgh” is is unclear, but it is spinning around within the Xbox community as the Internet speculates on what it might be.

The Xbox news “Edinburgh” comes from Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, who broadcasts the world of the console but does not say much about it or how he knows of its existence. What Corden does do is warn Xbox fans not to get excited about a handheld or a new form factor, as this “could be something like a Blade XCloud server.” Meanwhile, Corden also notes that this may be a fully digital version of the Xbox X-Series. Others have suggested that it could be the code name of the development kit, but we already know that the name of the development kit is Dante.

Unfortunately, everything is a little confusing at the moment. Is this a third Xbox console? Probably not, but it seems to be somewhat remarkable. Whatever the case, if it is indeed a consequence, we should listen to it soon. After all, the next generation of games is approaching.

At the time of publication, Microsoft has not commented on this latest report / leak, and is highly unlikely to do so. The company generally does not comment on rumors, reports, leaks, or anything of an unofficial or speculative nature.
