WWE SmackDown Results, Recap, Grade: Champions face off before Survivor Series

With just two days to go before the WWE Survivor Series, the Go-Home edition of SmackDown was largely focused on cutting the final buzz ahead of Pay-View-View. SmackDown filled the remaining positions on the men’s and women’s Survivor Series teams and a few visitors departed from Kachi to face its opponents before Sunday’s event.

Big pre-show headlines centered on WWE Champion Drew Muntier returning to SmackDown to share the ring with world champion Roman Reagan and sign his match contract. But raw tagging champs The New Day also appeared on the show, tagging with upcoming opponents, Street Profits and raw women’s champion Asuka traded words with SmackDown titleholder Sasha Banco.

CBS Sports was with you all night, bringing you recaps and highlights of all the action. Read on for everything you need to know to get out of SmackDown’s PPV Go-Home Edition.

Drew McIntyre and Roman rulers sign Survivor Series agreement

The merchant first came to sign a contract with McIntyre Reagans. After the break, Raines’ music hit and it took a long time before the universal champion made the entrance, forcing McIntyre to sit in the ring and wait for him. The ruler walked towards his ring and again took a long break at the bottom of the ramp and again at the ring steps. The rulers then forced WWE official Adam Dum Pierce to move from his seat so that he could take the chair at the head of the table.

Raings looked down at McIntyre and said he knew he would beat Randy Orton on the raw to win the Raw BWE Championship. Ryings also said McIntyre has long been the right person at the right place at the wrong time. McIntyre said he knows what Raines is trying to do, but he will flip a table and not punch him because he already has his match on Sunday. Minter said he was going to do what he was asked to do to sign and show the contract. McIntyre signed and told Raines to use his last two days of peace to prepare for war. Reynolds told McIntyre that he is the secondary champion and prop, while Reynolds is This The face of the champion and promotion. The universal champion then said that one day, McIntyre would love him for the lesson he taught him and the Reigns would love him right away, as McIntyre would always be his “favorite number two.”

The brawl that didn’t happen was refreshed by signing a contract in the WWE. It is very rare in the history of these segments in the past decades. The messages delivered by both men were solid, meaningful and added to a match in weight that has no real stake beyond personal pride. The regime turned out to look better than McIntyre, but that’s just when you go word-for-word with the tribal chief. Grade: b

Murphy scores win over Seth Rollins

By cutting backstage promos in the early hours of the show, Rollins took credit for everything Murphy had earned since becoming his disciple. Rollins promised to teach a final lesson and then send Murphy back to being nothing and nothing.

Murphy Def. Seth Rollins by Pinfall After hitting Murphy’s Law. Murphy was taken into the ring by the Mysterio family before being jumped by Rollins early in the match. After tying Murphy to the rope, Rollins tried to grab the cando stick from under the ring, but Ray Mysterio grabbed the stick. Rollins attacked Ray and then Murphy attacked Dominic Mysterio before freeing himself, only to be quickly knocked to the floor by Rollins, who slammed Alia Mysterio when the show went commercial. After the break, Rollins and Murphy returned to ring wrestling as usual. Celebrating with the Mysterios after the win, Murphy managed to hit Murphy’s law to win, escaping the Falcon Arrow from Rollins.

It would have been nice to see Murphy win if Rollins and Becky Lynch were expecting their baby to be born if there were no clear reports that Rollins was moving in the direction of the planned time. It is a bit unforgivable to use Rollins as a business transfer to come back from a break without just mentioning what happened. Was Rollins going to physically assault the 19-year-old? What stopped him? Dramatic transitions don’t carry weight if they just “broke the show at the moment.” Grade: C +

What else happened on WWE SmackDown?

New day and street profits. Pinf .l by Robert Rude, Dolph Ziegler, King Corbin and Sammy Zen. After Montez Ford hit Zen with a frog splash. The new day of the match came after an open promo was cut in the show and was only benefited by four heels to save by profits. While making the match, Kingston hit the crossbody with the top rope but accidentally hit Ford, causing issues between the teams. Despite the irregularities, Profits enabled Zen to win for their team by pinning them, who deliberately kept themselves out of the match until the final strip.

Daniel Bryan was backstage when Zen went into his interview. After laughing at Brian Zayn, Zayn tried to face him only to be shaken off the ground. Zayn left the area saying Brian was lucky that in Survivor Series he was focused on facing Bobby Lashley. Brian was interviewed several weeks ago after his Survivor Series qualifying match was attacked by So Soo, talking about his issues with Roman Reigns and J.Y. Uso.

Adam Pierre announced that Otis and Bailey have been selected as members of their respective teams for SmackDown in Survivor Series. Natalya was upset that she was not given a place, but had to meet the match to tell her.

Survivor Series Qualifying Match – Natalya Def. Tamina by submission With sharpshooter. This was Natalya’s third attempt to qualify for the team and eventually got the job done in a short match.

Carmella attacked Sasha Banks directly for the third week. Banks and Asuka were discussing their next Survivor Series match when Carmella ran and attacked, hanging Banks in the corner and delivering a st before mp before walking.

Daniel Brian Def. By Jin Uso Pinfall With roll-up. Uso wasted some time in the match before snooping, took Brian out of the ring and the declarative table was off, but Brian was able to fire back before Uso arranged to use the table. That condition was only temporary, however, as Uso left Brian a few minutes later leaving the table. Brian, still suffering from injuries to his kidneys from Uso’s previous attack, tried to lock the label lock, but Iso responded by hammering him into the injured kidney. After eating superkicks in the series, Bryan knelt on the splash from the hundred to roll up for the win.
