A WWE veteran was not once considered for a world title just for his hair.
A former champion also called Finn Balor on Twitter regarding a report that there was some real meat between them.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson also opened up on some big backstage rumors about AJ Styles unhappy and his move to SmackDown. The recently released WWE Superstars were at their best unfiltered as they spilled the beans in various previously unknown backstage details.
The real reason behind Bianca Belair’s recent absence from WWE TV has also been revealed.
On that note, here is the latest edition of Sportskeeda’s WWE Rumor Roundup:
# 5. Dolph Ziggler was told that he would never become a WWE World Champion because of his hair
Dolph Ziggler finally won the world title twice in his career and is also slated for a WWE title match at Extreme Rules. However, things did not seem so bright for The ShowOff during its early days.
During a recent interview with Alex McCarthy, Dolph Ziggler revealed that WWE told him that he was not credible enough to become World Champion due to his long blonde hair. This, of course, happened a long time ago; Possibly 10 years ago, and Ziggler even ended up cutting his hair and dyeing it black.
The experiment failed and WWE management found out three weeks later.
This is what Ziggler revealed during the interview with Alexa McCarthy:
“Once, a long time ago, I was told that the reason I am not credible enough, this was ten years ago, maybe more, to win the World Championship, it was because of my hair. Not that they beat me, no is that I lose all the fights, it’s not that I don’t talk, but because of my blond hair. So he cut himself and dyed himself black, and I meant it, and I went out to beat Santino. And it was the dumbest thing I’ve done. I didn’t want to. It wasn’t me. You can find a way to get more of my shooting experience into things, but this is what they wanted. After three weeks, they said, ‘Uh, our bad.’ ” H / t Sportsirda Anirban Banerjee
Will Ziggler manage to win the McIntyre WWE title this Sunday? While he has the support of one of the greatest Superstars of all time, McIntyre should ideally retain the belt.
