WWE Raw Result, Recap, Grade: Randy Orton Faces The Friend, Survivor Series Making

One day after each return to Hell in Sale, WWE returned to the Thunderdom inside the Amway Center for Kana in Orlando. Newly crowned champion Randy Ort immediately found out how deep the water would be for the fourteenth run as world champion.

After killing Tonert in Hell in a Cell, Drew did not only do unfinished business with Contire, but also found himself in the crosshairs of “The Friend” Bry Vytt. Ton Rton was a guest on the Moment Blf Bliss, where Alexa Bliss could face a problem the champion could face, before The Friend made his presence known, but not before Minter introduced some licks.

CBS Sports was with you all night, bringing you repetitions and highlights of the night’s action. Read on to see what you need to know on Hell in the raw cell fallout version.

Randy Orton has a fund problem

The “Mad Tea Party” edition of Firefly House aired at the beginning of the show, hosted by Alexa Bliss with Bry White. Anand gave Ramblin ‘poison tea to the rabbit and when the rabbit did not die, Wyatt beat him. The segment was mostly teased for Bliss’s interview, later in the show with Randy Thornton, when Orrton’s name was mentioned, White was wandering around in the camera. Orton will be interviewed backstage later, saying he was not particularly concerned about appearing on The Moment Blf Bliss despite a clear threat to appear on The Friend – or was attacked by Drew M Contier.

The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, but the show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes Or Drew I Kintier involved himself, they were both. Bliss became more aware of what was happening to Orton, The Fand, after Orton and Ikinter “burned down the house,” after Bliss mentioned that he burned the White Compound in 2017. But it was McIntyre who came to the ring and immediately attacked Thornton until the lights went out, signaling his arrival. Tonerton was heading to the entrance ramp when he realized Fand was behind him and decided to wait for the ring and the two quarreled until McCinthier, where the show stopped broadcasting.

The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, but Monday Night Rona is reminiscent of the best days when chaotic parts were common. Ton Rton and Mintier still have unresolved issues, but The Friends have included themselves in the picture and there is a lot of backstory to play with Rton, even if those histories weren’t some good (House Hor of Horroris, anyone?). Chaotic main event picture is a valuable thing in wrestling, and we can keep things fresh as we make our way to WrestleMania. Grade: B +

Survivor Series build begins

As expected, Rona will return to the format of their current standard Survivor Series vs WWE SmackDown, both in the five-member squad and in the Champions vs. Champions match. Despite dominating three-way matches last year, the NXT seems to be out of the mix this year. The three men won the singles match and qualified for the Row Men’s Survivor Series team, while the entire women’s team was set by the end of the night.

Shiamus, AJ Style and Keith Lee were the qualifying men, while Nia Jacques, Shayna Basler, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and Lana make up the women’s team. The full results for that match can be found in the recap section below. Also announced for Survivor Series: Randy Orton Vs. Roman Reigns, Asuka v. Sasha Banks, New Day Vers. Street Profits and Sami Zen v. Bobby Lashley.

I’m in favor of dropping NXT this year, but I’m old school and prefer that three- and four-way matches are left out as very rare special attractions, which aren’t the WWE route in recent years. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, however. All three men’s matches had outstanding television matches with satisfactory finishes. The only disadvantage is that, PPV. With the first several weeks of TV, it would have been a pleasure to see women receive the same treatment they received for qualifying matches. I love creating the weekly attacking angles we’ll be seeing as Survivor Series approaches. Grade: b

What else happened on WWE Raw?

  • Survivor Series Qualifying Match – AJ Style Def. Jeff Hardy by Pinfall After an extraordinary forearm. Jordan Omogbeh played Stiles’ bodyguard from the outside, but Stiles outlasted Hardy in a very solid TV match. Hardy was later attacked with a guitar by Elias after the loss.
  • Lucha House Party (Lins Dorado and Gran Metallic) Def. By Drew Gulak and Akira Tozwa Pinfall Dorado then hit Gulak with a crossbody. Early in the match, R-Truth headed to the ringside and Tozawa almost pinned him to win the belt. In the ensuing chaos with all match rivals to win the 24/7 title, Dorado hit a crossbody on Gulak when the truth came out, allowing him to hit the pin and win the tag match. Pin efforts on the truth continued until the champion ran backstage.
  • Nia Jacques and Shayna Bazzler confronted Adam Pierre about Team Row on the women’s side. Both women provided a list of who should be on the team in the Survivor Series while each claiming they would be the team captain would be removed by the same Pierce.
  • Survivor Series Qualifying Match – Keith Lee Def. Elias by Pinfall After the soul bomb. Lee initially dominated, including a big outside punch knocking Elias off the ringside Allan table. Elias will eventually be able to turn things around to harden Lee on the defensive using the ring post. As Elias seemed ready to win, Jeff Hardy’s music hit, distracting Elijah and allowing Lee to hit the spirit bomb for the win. Following the match, Hardik attacked Elias from behind, hitting him with a guitar, which returned in his favor early in the night.
  • Hurt Business Deaf. Change to an eight-man elimination tag match. Bobby Lashley and T-Bar brawled outside the ringside area, resulting in two big men being knocked out of the match. Eventually Shelton came up against things like Mustafa Ali against Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. Ali used the chair to hit Alexander, losing the incapacity before fleeing from the rest of the hurt business members. Ali cut a promo last night saying that revenge is not about winning and losing and that they will win when they torment the WWE and shut down their opponents.
  • Dru m I kintere def. By Ms. Pinfall After Claymore. The match was a production of Miz and John Morrison, who interrupted McIntyre’s show-opening promo, criticizing the new Mr. Money in the Bank McIntyre for his title loss. Morrison tried to help Miz throughout the match, but McIntyre did very well in the end, knocking Miz off easily.
  • The raw women’s team for the Survivor Series came out. The election announced by Adam Pierce was the fatal four-way winner between Nia Jacques, Shayna Bazzler, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and Lana, Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross.
  • Survivor Series Qualifying Match – Lana Def. Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross via Pinfall The other three women are in the corner after Evans was pinned after the Tower Do F Doom spot. After the match, Nia Jacques hugged Lana before putting her on the announcement table from the Samoan drop.
  • Survivor Series Qualifying Match – Sheamus Def. Matt Riddle by Pinfall After a Brugge kick. This was a very good match. The hard-hitting material he wore under his back to face the cemetery saw Shamus outstall Riddle and hit a follow-up Brog kick for the win.
