Appropriately, Takeover: War Games matched the name with the most talented part of women in professional wrestling. Team Candice’s Tony Storm, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez and Captain Candice Lera clashed with Team Blackhart’s Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, Amber Moon and Captain Shotzi Blackhart in the match-making month.

By way of Blackheart’s victory on Wednesday, there was hardly a single woman advantage in Babyface. A new tank filled up from the Shortzie locker room was filled, rebuilt by Larry after he ran it a few weeks ago.

Chandra and Kae started the match for their respective teams, intensifying their own rivalry.

Kai slammed his face into the mat wearing a lunar storm, but the arrival of a blackheart (toolbox in hand) brought with him a two-to-one disadvantage to wait. She found herself on Moon’s shoulder, then flattened on the mat following Blackheart’s drop.

Gonzalez joined the front field, giving both babyfaces more power and bowling over them with a line of clothes and big boots. Gonzalez wreaked havoc as Moon gave way to a powerbomb in a cage on Slam Blackheart.

With the help of Gonzalez, Kae launched himself from one ring to another, erasing Moon and Blackheart with a double clothesline.

Ripley entered the match and soon met face to face with Gonzalez. Moon and Blackheart stabilized the heel, replaying it with a pump kick. A pair of clothes and a ripcard dropkick flattened Kai with Aussie turning.

Ripley opened the toolbox, got a mallet, and blasted Cain with it. She put a bandage on Captain Kota’s hand and tied him to the right cage. Again, as Ripley and Gonzalez part ways, the Titans of the division take part in a constant brawl.

The storm team stepped forward for candies and got some candy sticks. After working on the turnbuckle pad, he joined Gonzalez in punishing Ripley with a stick. He whipped Ripley into an open turnbuckle, blowing air out of her in the process.

All six women of the match came together for the stereo tower of Doom venues, and put the contestants on the mat. It was time for NXT Women’s Champion Shirai to enter the battle with a ladder.

Gonzalez stopped Shirai from entering, the door went back into the genius of the sky and knocked him down with an apron. Repeatedly, Gonzalez stopped Shirai from entering the match, eating a drop kick but the chair spread over his head.

Finally entered the match, but met face to face with Shirai. Luckily for her, Indy Hartwell attacked nowhere, and Shirai fell asleep on the floor. He locked the cage door and locked the key to his shirt, making it difficult for Shirai to enter the square circle.

In the ring, ADA stabbed Blackheart with a candy stick shot, cutting him off. Lera tried for the pin but the referee refused, citing the fact that not all eight contestants actually entered the ring.

Shirai, who could put trash on her head, lowered herself from the top of the cage and erased all the other competitors as soon as the official start of the war games.

From Shibai to Gonzalez on the way to the lunar eclipse, one-on-one sentencing, Bikeface gathered to unleash hell on the opposition. LeRae and Co broke the pin, however, making sure the bout continued.

Blackheart and Moon Storm were trapped in a double submission, but Lera broke it. Blackheart unloaded on the heels with a cane stick until Kaye’s chair stopped moving. He gave Shirai a big kick, then entered the female champion’s body by throwing a top-rope into the trash by a double stump.

The moon delivered the eclipse to the two chairs but the storm smashed it into the trash. Tony delivered Storm Zero to the trash on the moon, but Shirai broke this fall.

Lera wiped the replay, but knocked him down the stairs. Blackheart, delivered to the sedan, came back first and expertly located by Larry in a well-placed chair. Shirai delivered a moonshine to Kai but a storm rippled him into the champion, breaking the pin.

Shirai tried to deliver the headscins to Gonzalez between the rings, but an unbeaten force powermbed him through the stairs and gave the win to Team Candice.

Analysis

Wade Barrett pointed out that with Gonzalez’s victory, he took a real risk from the insurance policy policy in the women’s section, and that’s right. If the battle with Ripley a month ago was not enough, the match was forced to come out of his party.

Gonzalez a Star Here, the competition is fierce and disperses anyone on the way to her youthful career-determined victory. Don’t be surprised even for a moment if she channels this win to win the NXT Women’s Championship at Shirai somewhere in the near future.

Despite being one of the first two contestants in the match, Dakota Kai, who had a lot of glue that kept this together, was the main props.

While some will insist that the Babyface team should move on, none of the participants on that side of the match will lose anything in the defeat. They were all established, while Raheen needed a big win to pose challenges for Shirai. The finish was a true call and now, the NXT women’s section has yet another star that can build around it.

Excellent bookings, creative violence and strong performances from the artists involved, help make this a great way to kick things off. For sure, the late-night challenge for the NXT Match of the Year.
