Writing to Twitch? Tweets support Valorant speculation amid power outages

With Michael ‘complaining’ Grzesiek apparently no closer to announcing a new streaming house, we’re looking at the cryptic tweets that could point to a pro Valorant career.

Shroud is, quite simply, one of the biggest names in the world of gaming. A professional CS: GO career found him moderate success, before a move to full-time Twitch streaming built it up and found his fan numbers well into the millions.

However, a move to Mixer ended bizarrely when Microsoft, after less than a year with the platform, announced that Mixer would shut down and all streamers were offered the chance to go to Facebook Gaming. Shroud turned this off, and it’s been more or less radio silence ever since.

Shroud spent ten months exclusively on Mixer before shutting down the Microsoft broadcasting platform.

Is Shroud pro in Valorant?

A move back to Twitch seemed likely at first, but the lack of announcements has scratched fans’ heads.

What’s more is that mantle has taken to posting cryptic tweets, often GIFs of some video game weapons. These seem to indicate Valorant, the new FPS to be released by Riot Games in the summer of 2020.

Since July 31, Grzesiek has posted three separate teasers, the first two of which were widely interpreted as hinting at a move to play Valorant. We’ve already seen a host of CS: GO professionals making the leap to Riot Games’ FPS.

The first tweet referred to Omen of Valorant, a playing hard frequency prior to his streaming hiatus.

The second, posted on August 4, was more explicit in its references to Valorant, with many taking it as confirmation of his future career move.

Will Shroud return to Twitch?

However, there has been no announcement coming from the mantle, and his latest tweet has confused almost everyone.

Posted on August 8th, it shows a gun being built in the typical GIF format. Many fans, however, were shaken to the head, with no recognizable games being referred. Although, it does focus on the small symbol.

We’ll have to wait and see what comes next for shoulder, but a professional Valorant pursuit certainly seems like the most likely outcome his first few tweets will go out.

Another potential theory is that he simply hints that a return to streaming will be dominated by Valorant, but no streaming platform has yet emerged as a favorite.

Like all shaken fans, we will have to wait and see what materializes.
