Wow Shadowlands needs SSD to play, says Blizzard; Shadowlands Pre-Patch 9.0.1 is expected to be released between 22 and 29 September
System requirements have been updated for the upcoming expansion of the craft craft Shadowlands, and according to Blizzard, an SSD drive is required to run the expansion.
Minimum and recommended system requirements for both the PC and M2 version of the eighth expansion of World War II Craft, specifying a Solid State Drive (SSD) with at least 100 GB of free space. Like all system requirements, Blizzard notes that system requirements may change over time due to possible changes to the World War II to Craft.
Interestingly, Blizzard specifically says that SSDs need to be able to at least play in Shadowlands, while World of Warcraft players are saying that Shadowlands’ beta runs well without solid state drives. From its appearance, Blizzard is only referring to the use of SSDs for faster loading time. As such, players using older setups without SSD drives will, of course, still be able to play the expansion of the upcoming Shadowlands.
