The sequel will follow Diana aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), now in the 1980s, as she reunites with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and fights with Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig) – aka Cheetah – a friend became an enemy.

The trailer debuted during the DC FanDome stream this weekend, where fans will first watch other movies, such as The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, and more.

Many thanks to our DC Fans all over the world for watching. DC would not be what it is today without YOU. You’ve made the last 24 hours possible …. And wait, there’s more! Mark your 🗓 before September 12th to explore the DC Multiverse. We’ll see you there! #DCFanDome

🚨🚨 Some spoilers ahead !!!! 🚨🚨

The trailer begins with a young Diana on Themyscira was told that “the world is not ready yet” for everything she will do.

Cut to – an adult Diana living in Cold War America looks very confident to see her lost love, Steve Trevor.

Which makes a lot of sense, because in the first movie, it looked like he died in a plane crash in WW1. And even if he survives, he is not obsolete, so there is something to it !!

Then we get a glimpse of Kristen Wiig’s character, Barbara, before she goes all villain and turns into Cheetah.

“I do not want to be like everyone else. I want to be an apex predator,” she says.

Then she has a distance with Diana and we hear her say, “You had everything, while people like me had nothing.”

And then, before you know it, she’s full of hunting!

We also see Steve and Diana do their whole thing “power couple that saves the world” and it’s very fun.

And lastly, of course, we see Wonder Woman in all her badass glory!

DC

To be able to! Net! Wait! The first trailer of the film showed additional scenes, including a glimpse of Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord IV, “a fraudulent businessman selling the American dream.”

The film was first set to release in December 2019, but was delayed five times, due to production and later, the coronavirus. It is now plan to hit theaters on October 2 and I keep my fingers crossed that it will not be moved again because after that trailer I am HYPED.

DC

The first movie made history of the office, so I have no doubt this one will do the same!
