Who won the hot dog competition in 2020?

Another Fourth of July, another chance for Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo to knock out the competition.

Chestnut and Sudo continued their dominance race with record performances at the Nathan 2020 Hot Dog Food Contest. The champions conquered previous highs in the men’s and women’s divisions despite the unusual setup of this year’s event. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), no fans attended the contest, and participants were separated at least six feet apart and separated with plexiglass.

In the women’s division, Sudo jumped to an early lead and never looked back, crushing 48 1/2 hot dogs and scones in 10 minutes on her way to the seventh straight title. Chestnut followed Sudo to his own victory, eating 75 hot dogs and buns to become a 13-time champion.

Sporting News provided live updates to the 2020 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest on Saturday afternoon. See the final results below.
