Richardson-Sellers was born and raised in England to a family of experienced theater actors. She graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Archeology and Anthropology. While at Oxford, she starred in numerous college stage productions.
After college, Richardson-Sellers began pursuing an acting career and began auditioning for various movies and series. In 2015, he landed his first major role as Korr Sella in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

She then landed the recurring duo roles of Rebekah Mikaelson / Eva Sinclair on the CW vampire series, The originals. She appeared in two seasons of the show before it ended in 2018.
Richardson-Sellers then starred in two different characters in the CW superhero series, Legends of tomorrow. In seasons 2 and 3, she plays Amaya Jiwe, also known as Vixen. And in seasons 4 and 5, she plays Charlie, aka Clotho, the shapeshifter who gets caught up in the form of Vixen.

In an interview with Collider, Richardson-Sellers noted that he loved the first Kissing booth movie and is thrilled to be a part of the sequel. When talking about Chloe, the actor said he was really attracted to what the character represents.
“He is very smart, he has traveled the world and speaks five languages, he has lived everywhere, he is studying at Harvard,” said Richardson-Sellers. “It’s also very important to see people of color in those kinds of positions because we don’t usually see those roles go to people of color.” That also excited me about the project. ”
“The more diverse the representation is and the more we are showing the nuance of the representation, then it is all that, if you see it you can be it,” he continued. “She can inspire young women to go to Harvard and be this character in a very white male world. For me, it’s a pretty powerful representation to be able to portray. ”
