Where to buy PS5: Which retailers will have stock?
There is no .factual list of retailers with PS5 in stock, with Sony silently placing it on US stores. However, a recent statement announced that you will not be able to buy the PS5 in brick and mortar stores, launch stock is only available online.
Fortunately, we are well versed in unloading the web for goodies and you hope all retailers will have a little bit of stock down. These retailers were offering PS5 pre-orders all those weeks ago, making them good bets for new stock at launch and also the biggest to offer the right amount of consoles on those shelves.

Amazon had another portion of the stock when the PS5 first began pre-ordering it, but it continued to roll out more units in the days that followed. Which means it’s about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well as the fastest, free delivery if you’re a premium member.

The last time Best Buy had a solid level of PS5 stock compared to other retailers to place such a console order. That means we are optimistic for a relatively large inventory here. Earlier this week, during the Xbox launch, Best Buy was offering discounts to controllers with the purchase of a console so that today we can see a discount on Sony’s side as well.

Amazon AU
The world’s largest retailer is in the same boat as it was during the first round of pre-orders – it already stops taking orders, and did so soon after it came alive. They have more pre-stock order stock available but it will not be a launch day stock, if you are lucky you can get it before the end of the year. See Deal

Sony online
Like most places, Sony itself is currently out of stock. It’s a great option like other retailers in terms of price (full RRP) and free shipping, but you’ll need to keep re-checking when you get more stock.
JB Hi-Fi
JB Hi-Fi Australia Australia, one of the largest tech retail outlets in the country, is currently the only pre-order stock (also for December shipment) out of stock. With that said, the stock seems to fluctuate regularly, so keep checking to see if you can hit the console.
EB Games
While EB Games was one of the first retailers to sell games, they also offered 2021 pre-orders of the console for a while, but even that doesn’t seem to be currently out of stock. Again, this does not mean that there will not be more opportunities to pre-order today, so keep checking with them to try your hand at it.
When can you buy a PS5?
The earliest you’ll be able to buy a PS5 may be midnight. We last saw the clock start pre-ordering immediately at 12 o’clock, and an Xbox release early in the week would follow a similar pattern. That means it’s all hands on deck for the next hour, because you can work out where to buy the PS5 sooner than you think.
Even if midnight swings and misses, we recommend that you check in all day. The stock may arrive early in the morning, but Walmart announced that it will release the PS5 stock at 12.00, 3.00, 6.00 and 9.00 EST EST We will pay special attention around this time and between 8 and 9 in the morning.
Of course, anything can happen and there is no information about when other retailers will open their doors, so if you want to buy a PS5 today you will need to be on your toes.
How to buy a PS5 when the stock goes down
When the PS5 comes in stock, how do you make sure it’s yours? If you’re in a good position you can make the most of that first chance to buy a PS5 and jump ahead of the crowd, but of course it’s easier said than done. There are a few things you can do first, though, not to be confused with where to buy the PS5 at the end of the day.
1. Find your retailers
Use the list above to keep checking your retailers with the given stock updates to make sure you are always on the lookout for where to buy the PS5 at any given moment. We would recommend preferring larger retailers as they are likely to offer more PS5 stock and are also already set for faster shipping.
2. Prepare your wallet
We’re sure you’ve already prepared to spend some cash today, but getting your details ready will save valuable time when saving valuable time. Even better, if you’re comfortable saving your payment details or using PayPal, you’re in for a much less stressful experience.
3. Sign in
If you already have accounts with select retailers, be sure to sign in before launching. Not only will you save time adding your email address and shipping information later, but it will also make it much easier to track your order. Of course, if you’re not comfortable signing in or creating an account, hold and paste your email address and shipping information for quick copy when you’re off the clock.
4. Find the product page

If everything is going to be planned but the final hurdle is out of stock then don’t give up. During the pre-order period, and during the Xbox launch, we saw stocks fluttering in and out in seconds, which means that a quick refresh can push you straight ahead of the line as the stock becomes available again. What is the price of PS5?
The PS5 is priced at 9499 (9444 / AU 9 749.95). That puts it at the same price point as the Xbox Series X, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise to many, as it’s hard to imagine a PS5 crossing the 500 price range against the affordable spreads put in by the micro .ft.
However, the cheaper PS5 Digital Edition is priced at 39 9,399.99 (£ 359.99 / AU $ 599.95), which raises some concerns in light of the Xbox Series S’s 9,299 price tag. However, the PS5 Digital Edition will run the same specs as a full-featured console, further cementing its position in the market as a value for money option.
This means that bargain hunters can experience everything offered by the PS5 while the physical PS4 and PS5 meet the opportunity to save cash by playing games or buying in the market on the other side. It’s an excellent proposal that will definitely catch people going for a sharp value for money at launch.
