As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) draws closer to its final inning with Joe Biden’s acceptance speech Thursday night, Wednesday will have a slate of the heaviest hitters in the party piling on the plate for his no- officially nominated.
The highest-ranking Democratic elected official in the U.S. and perhaps the highest-profile Democratic senator will lead Wednesday from the convention talks before a former president and Biden’s running mate sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Later cleaning up in convention programming.
The programming on Wednesday night will also include Harris’ official nomination to be the vice presidential nominee, and officially a Trump-Pence vs. Biden-Harris matchup set for Nov. 3.
DEMOCRATS FORMALLY NOMINATE YOUR PRAYER FOR PRESIDENT A VIRTUAL ROLL CALL
Here’s what you need to see on Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention.
Speakers
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Widely regarded as the progressive standard-bearer of the Democrats in the First Chamber; Chamber member Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., The highest-ranked Democratic official in the United States; and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will provide Wednesday’s lineup with some serious fireworks as they try to reach voters for Biden – and they are not even the main liners.
Harris and former president Barack Obama, current and former running mates of Biden, will be the main event Wednesday night in what will likely be the biggest platform Harris will get for stumping for Biden outside of the October 7 vice presidential debate. Her speech will also likely be the most consistent of the week outside Biden’s Thursday address to close the convention.
There were extra speakers announced for the Monday and Tuesday episodes of the Democratic convention, so expect some extra surprises, even if they are not party superstars like Obama, Harris, Warren or Pelosi.

Theme
Every day of the DNC has a theme this week, and Wednesday is “A more perfect union.” The party says the theme “A More Perfect Union” – a line from the preamble to the US Constitution – will focus on Biden’s “build back better” plan to recover from Donald Trump’s mismanagement of the pandemic and next economic crisis. “
The party adds: “As he leads us out of the crisis, Joe Biden will help rebuild better. He will have a historic partner in these efforts: the first female vice president. On Wednesday, you will hear from the nominated vice president and many others who are committed to working with Joe Biden to achieve his goals for a more perfect union. “
