To celebrate Scott Pilgrim vs. Tenth Anniversary the World, almost the entire cast (but not Brie Larson) put together their Zoom screens for a table reading and a general meeting chat.

Among those who scored: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Ellen Wong, Mark Webber, Johnny Simmons, Alison Pill, Satya Bhabha, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Edgar Wright, co – writer Michael Bacall and Bryan Lee O’Malley, the author-artist of Scott Pilgrim’s original graphic novels.

You can view the meeting and table on CNET Entertainment Weekly’s sister site, or below. Spectators are encouraged to donate to Water for People, a global nonprofit organization that helps bring clean water and sanitation solutions to communities.

This is not your ordinary reading table. The video is edited with appropriate cuts in line with the dialogue, with intermediate shots to the storyboard of the film, which are actually just images from the graphic novel.

The adaptation of the graphic novel, directed by comedy teacher Edgar Wright, came out in 2010. Following a lazy musician battling his new girlfriend’s evil ex, Scott Pilgrim combined a stunning video game and comic book imagery with musical segments. embedded in Toronto’s indie rock scene. It crashed at the box office, but then reached cult status.

It’s amazing to see where some of the actors are now: Chris Evans not only became Captain America, but Alison Pill ended up in the stunning Devs and Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Birds of Prey, to name a few.
