Before July 4 and the reopening of Walt Disney World parks, resort president Jeff Vahle visited the Magic Kingdom Flag Retreat ceremony.
Vahle attended the ceremony, conducted by two members of Walt Disney World security, on the night of July 2.
In her Instagram post, Vahle commented:
I had the honor of joining our Magic Kingdom security cast by removing colors during our daily Flag Retreat last night. I appreciate all that our security team does to protect the Magic on all of our property, especially in the past few months. It was a special way to start the weekend of July 4th as we continued to prepare to open our parks next week.
During the daily ceremony, the American flag placed near the park entrance on Main Street, USA, is lowered for the day and folded. Before the parks closed, the flag was presented to a veteran guest of the U.S. Armed Forces.
