Walking Dead star reveals how Norman Reedus made him throw up on set

The Walking Dead Star IronE Singleton has recalled that she couldn’t stop throwing up on set because co-star Norman Reedus kept telling rude jokes.

During a video conference in Wizard World, the actor, who played survivor Theodore ‘T-Dog’ Douglas in the early seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama, looked back at a scene that sees his character and friend Dale Horvath (Jeffrey DeMunn ) trip over a swollen and decomposing walker at the bottom of a well.

As it happens, that well is supplying water to the farm they have recently taken refuge in, so Dale, T-Dog and their allies Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) attempt to remove the unwelcome undead resident, fearing that it will contaminate their supply.

However, in the middle of a jerk, the zombie splits in half, which Singleton said caused Reedus, who wasn’t even on the scene, to look at his guts and exclaim, “Wait, that poop?” and then make the whole world stir.

“It was very unpleasant,” Singleton laughed. “He was gagged because we were in a dirt field and there was a lot of dust kicked up after each shot, and that mixed with the fact that this zombie was so nasty.”

“Club [Gierhart], who was our director on that show, came up to me and I couldn’t stop throwing up throughout the scene.

“He said, ‘IronE, I like the gag, but let’s try something else. Let’s do it a little differently.’ I thought, ‘I can’t help it, man! Dust is in my throat, I’m looking at this filthy walker.'” .

I guess it’s not just the viewers at home who squirm at the show’s eerily convincing special effects, huh?

The Walking DeadThe season 10 finale will air as a special episode later this year on FOX in the UK. You can also catch up on the program through NOW TV. In the United States, the program is broadcast on AMC.
