A teaser announcing the title of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film was released on Saturday. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagraj, the film is titled Vikram.
The teaser opens in the kitchen with Kamal Haasan. It comes to cooking a grand entrance. In the meantime, it is also filling up with ammunition, which is enough to land a small army. Then comes the guests, wearing a mask to break bread with lotus. Simply, they don’t know what he’s hiding under the table.
Lokesh Kanagaraj has taken the title from Kamal’s 1986 actor of the same name. Perhaps, this movie is a spin-off featuring a WW agent who stopped a missile attack 25 years ago.
The filmmakers previously revealed that the crew adhered to all COVID-19 safety guidelines when tinning.
Kamal Haasan is expected to start shooting for the record this month.
Vikram is a huge leap for director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He made his debut as an influential director in 2017 with Managram. Last year, he helped Cathy with Carty, and it became a great hit with the audience and critics. And for the third film, Master, he managed to rope Vijay to play the lead role. The big-budget movie, which was to be released earlier this year, has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The project will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s production banner Raj Kamal Films International. It is being said that Bigg Boss Fame Thrush will play an important role in this film.
Vikram will be shot in and around Chennai. And the filmmakers aim to release it next summer.
