A source familiar with Bloomberg News said Trump intended to live in the Mar-a-Lago complex, although some neighbors were trying to prevent him from residing there.

In Washington, the US State Department sent an invitation to Mr. Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, to stay at the Blair House at the US Presidential Guest House the night before the inauguration. January 20. Biden and his wife have agreed, according to Bloomberg sources.

Under the constitution, presidents are not required to attend the inauguration of their successors. However, this remains a tradition to honor the importance of the peaceful transfer of power.
