Previously, on February 26, the Ministry of Health said that the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 07/2020 / QD-TTg, which modifies and complements various articles of Decision No. 02/2016 / QD-TTg dated 28 / 1/2016 of the Prime Minister that regulates the conditions to announce epidemics and declare the end of infectious diseases.

Accordingly, adding the average incubation period and time to detect new cases of COVID-19 disease (formerly known as acute respiratory infection caused by a new strain of the Corona virus) in Appendix stipulating the average incubation period and time. not to detect more cases of infectious diseases as a basis to announce all infectious epidemics issued together with Decision No. 02/2016 / QD-TTg dated 28 / 1/2016.

Specifically, group A COVID-19 disease, the average incubation period of 14 days, the detection time for new cases is 28 days (the time is calculated from the date the last case is isolated). in health facilities).

The Ministry of Health recommends isolation, health surveillance in the prevention of COVID-19:

For close contacts of patients with positive COVID-19: Isolate at the medical center within 14 days and take samples for analysis.

For close contact with COVID-19 positive patients: Quarantine, monitor health at home, place of residence, residence within 14 days and notify local authorities (neighborhoods, communes, cities) and must closely monitor the health situation. If fever, cough, sneeze, runny nose, fatigue, chills, or shortness of breath are found, immediately isolate at the medical facility and take patient samples for testing.

– Wear a mask frequently, cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.

– Wash your hands with soap continuously to avoid the risk of spreading the disease to other people.

– Share your own travel schedule with medical staff.
