Tran Ngoai Giao (SN 1990) often called Giao Hoa Hiep, had a family relationship with the defendant Chi. Delivered each with a criminal record of theft. While serving her sentence, Ms. Chi visited Giao. After finishing his prison term, Giao went to visit Ms. Chi’s home and later met Hang.
In early 2020, Hang and Giao got married. The two of them moved to Vinh Long to live and trade in cafes. Hang and his biological mother had a property dispute, related to the house in Ho Chi Minh City. During this time, the defendant Chi was facing financial difficulties, which is why he often argued with his daughter.
Chi then brought this to Thinh. “She made money so I could take him (Hang) home to figure it out,” Thinh suggested. Ms. Chi agreed, then borrowed 10 million dong in advance for Thinh, arranged a car rental from Vung Tau to Vinh Long to plan to arrest Hang.
Giao was indicted to investigate murder charges.

Tran Le Van Thinh died at the scene.

The police station arrested two more suspects along with Thinh. Private Nhut escaped the scene. Based on the testimony of the suspects, the investigating agency clarified the role of Nhut and her biological mother. “Thinh died at the scene. Chi and the four defendants accompanying Thinh were prosecuted and arrested. Nhut, particularly defendant, was released on bail because he was raising a young child,” the investigating officer said. .
The crime committed by the investigating agency is seized.
Assigned to be prosecuted, arrested and detained in accordance with Clause 2 of Article 123 of the Criminal Code on Murder, with a prison sentence of between 7 and 15 years.
