The White House chief of staff said Trump is recovering from his health, optimistic that the US president will be discharged on October 5.
“I spoke with the president this morning. He continues to recover and is ready to return to his normal schedule,” White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said in a statement released Oct. 5 morning.
Chief of Staff Meadows said President Donald Trump’s doctor will be seen during the day to decide whether or not to be discharged from the hospital. “We are still optimistic that he will return to the White House today,” the US official added.
The comment was made in the context of the President of the United States building a healthy image during Covid-19 treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The White House doctor, Sean Conley, confirmed that Trump’s situation had improved and that he could be discharged as of October 5. The former president of the United States appeared on the remote control, waving his hand through the door to greet a crowd of supporters gathered outside the hospital. The White House also repeatedly released photos of Trump working during treatment.
However, medical experts expressed confusion and concern when Trump’s team of doctors said that Covid-19 symptoms were relatively mild but actively combining many different treatments.
Medical experts agree that the Covid-19 patient remains in a critical phase for 7 to 10 days after the onset of symptoms. Some relatively healthy patients still suffer from sudden problems, either from a virus or from an overreaction of the immune system that can damage various organs, including the heart.
