Waiting for the elevator for a long time, afraid to climb the stairs, many passengers landing at Tan Son Nhat airport agreed to carry luggage to go to the street to pick up the tech car.
The redistribution of lanes on the internal road of the Tan Son Nhat airport from November 14 does not allow technology vehicles such as GrabCar or BeCar to pick up passengers in lanes A, B, C, D, but must go to the floors 3, 4 and 5 from the garage. TCP.
So far, it has been more than a week to implement the regulations on lane division. Tan Son Nhat International Airport said the lane division has achieved initial results of open traffic, with no congestion at the airport even on peak weekend days.
However, passengers traveling in a tech car like GrabCar or BeCar complain that it is inconvenient to pick up the car when they have to take the elevator with their furniture or go up to the third, fourth and fifth floors of the garage to take the car. For a tech driver, it is also problematic not to stop in the four lanes in front of the terminal to pick up passengers, but to circle the garage.
To go to a tech vehicle on floors 3, 4 and 5, passengers have to “die” and wait the “long neck” to wait for the elevator. Because there are only 2 elevators in this area, many people have to queue and wait a long time. Through the actual reconnaissance, to 2 elevators of the TCP garage is always overloaded. Many passengers get bored of agreeing to carry suitcases to climb the stairs to floors 3, 4 and 5 to take the tech car. Due to the large number of people climbing the stairs, the sound of footsteps (steel stairs) was echoing throughout the day.
The Serpent Dragon passengers queue up to take the elevator to floors 3, 4 and 5 of the garage to take the Tech Car home. “If I don’t take the elevator, I go up the stairs, but due to excess furniture, I have to wait for the elevator. It took me almost 20 minutes to get on the elevator. Getting into the elevator wants to suffocate because the customers are too full ”, Mr. Kiet (who lives in the Go Vap district) shook his head bored.
“Tech travel is a lot cheaper than traditional taxi so I try to wait for the elevator. Personally, I think this division makes customers suffer too much, ”said Nhu Nguyen.
To travel home thanks to technology, a man on crutches must line up for the elevator. This man and all the passengers who want to pick up the tech car on the TCP garage floors have to pay an additional fee of VND 25,000.
Bored, tired of waiting in line for the elevator, many passengers agree to walk farther to catch the tech car on Truong Son Street.
Some passengers said that 10 minutes from the national station to Truong Son Road, it is easier to pick up a tech car and not have to spend 25,000 VND on the garage.
However, many passengers have to ignore the danger, the tape cut in front of the car to walk to pick up the car, as this location has regular access for cars.
“The whole airport has 2 elevators to get to the garage, people are crowded, waiting for shifts takes a long time, so I have to walk to the street to take the car home,” said Ms Le Thi Linh who lives in Binh district Shared Tan.
