The couple had an argument over the phone. When they got home, Doan and Mrs. H continued to close the door arguing and cursing.
Frustrated, Doan grabbed a plastic can (10-liter type) from the guard in the kitchen and then drove his motorcycle to Dong Ha gas station (500 meters from Doan’s house) to buy 120 thousand dong of gasoline to take home. . Here, Doan and Mrs. H continued to fight, curse and challenge each other, prompting Doan to pour gasoline all over the floor and then to light a matchbox on the church board, throw it on the floor, and make it house burned.
