Out of 4 cases of Covid-19, only the male flight attendant shows symptoms of the disease. This shows how dangerous the disease is to the community.
On the afternoon of December 3, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Binh, Director of the Department of Health, Ho Chi Minh City, said that all Covid-19 infections detected in recent days are being quarantined and monitored from close. health at Cu Chi Field Hospital and other hospitals in the city.
In particular, the patient is a male flight attendant (case 1342) examined for SARS-CoV-2 infection on November 28 and is being isolated and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital. During the follow-up process, the doctors noted, the patient’s general condition was relatively stable, but the patient began to show symptoms such as a sore throat, fever and cough.
The second case was Patient 1347, who transmitted the disease when he came to live with Patient 1342 while in home isolation. After the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 on November 30, the patient was transferred to isolation and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital, so far the patient’s health is normal, no symptoms of the illness.
This is a case with a very complicated travel and work history, the patient has traveled to many places, interacting with people outside the community, including case 1348, a 14-month-old boy living in Ward 7, District 6. On November 30, the baby was taken in isolation to the City Children’s Hospital for treatment. Until now, tests showed the baby was still positive for SARS-CoV-2 but had no symptoms and was in good health.
The fourth case is that of 1349, a 28-year-old student at the English Language Center, infected with SARS-CoV-2 after close contact with a 1347 patient. On the afternoon of November 30, the patient was concentrated in isolation In District 6, on November 1, the patient had a positive test result and was immediately transferred to isolation and treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital. Currently, the patient has no symptoms.
In addition to the case of being a flight attendant for Vietnam Airlines (patient 1342) with symptoms of sore throat, fever, cough, all other cases until the afternoon of December 3 did not present symptoms. . According to Professor Nguyen Tan Binh, the almost normal state of health of the cases shows dangerous signs for the community due to the possibility that Covid-19 can infect even when the infected person has no symptoms. .
The Health Department has urgently notified all the people who have gone to the patient’s contact points to carry out medical declaration procedures, medical consultation, tests, isolation. Currently, locations have been identified in Districts 1, 3, 6, 10, 11, Phu Nhuan, Binh Tan, Tan Binh and Tan Phu. Investigate, track and search all travel locations of the person who has contact with the patient, including F1 and F2. All F1 exposures took cups, and on the afternoon of December 3, the test results of 852/852 F1 exposures were negative.
The lab work is being extended to all interested people like security, parking, manpower in schools, shopping centers … where patients used to do. Those exposed to F1, F2 were also evaluated, there were 2344 people sampled, 2196 people with negative results in the remaining cases waiting for results.
In order to proactively prevent the risk of infection, all places in the patient and the surrounding area, where the patient used to temporarily stop working also to perform decontamination during the waiting time, are being blocked. Test results. Investigation and tracing of cases exposed to the disease continue in a spirit of speed.
Faced with the above situation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, suggested to the Health Department to strengthen the capacity to perform tests in medical facilities, ensuring that tests are completed on the day to reduce psychological pressure in cases. risk. In addition, it is necessary to speed up the tracking, the zoning to manage the areas in which the patient has ever been, without losing any case even with the least possibility of infection. The Department of Health is responsible for reviewing isolation regulations, minimizing cases of isolation at home to avoid the risk of recurring violations of the regulations, such as case 1342.
