Establish the Ministry of Youth on the basis of improving the current organization of the Communist Youth Union – this is a proposal by Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, President of the Vietnam National Assembly at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on 20 / Last 4/2020.
Having the Youth Ministry will not help Vietnam’s younger generation better as long as they are linked to communist ideology through the Youth Union.
Is the old communist party based on young ‘members’?
Will leaving the party and leaving the Union become a movement?
Delegation TThe communist youth and me
On June 5, 2011, while participating in the protests against China in Saigon, a girl with a red and yellow flag approached me with a shapely body and a pretty face.
She walked with me from the Nam Ky Khoi Nghia section that intersects Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to intersect Le Thanh Ton. She professed to be Quyen, from Cu Chi, to join a protest to protest against China’s rebellious behavior.
Like many other people, I shouted: “Down with the Chinese invaders! Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam!”
Beside me, he gently suggested, “There is no need to call the Chinese to invade. I can call Hoang Sa, Truong Sa from Vietnam.”
Not long after that, I met her at the city headquarters. Ho Chi Minh City when attending popular student technical competition.
This time he was wearing a union shirt, holding a stack of paper. I understood the “encounter” I encountered during the protest and the reason why I didn’t want to shout, “Down to Chinese Invasion”.
Also, in the field, every summer, I received several invitations to join the Youth Union activities in the village. When I went to college, the branch secretary told me to attend sympathy class one day to be admitted.
I have not yet participated in any Youth Union related activities, studies or enrollments anywhere. Because of this, when signing documents to get my college diploma, I got a little harder than the others.
I used to think that the Communist Youth League’s Green Youth Volunteer campaign was a rare and useful thing for the community.
I went to three or four places where the Green Summer campaign was active as a student and when I left school. I realize that formality, movement, and propaganda activities are more effective than actual results because of the effort and time that young people have dedicated. My helpful campaign thoughts have been greatly reduced.
The Youth Union is an organization of the Communist Party, organized as a civil society organization for young people.
This is the place where the communist and socialist ideology movement is united with youth. Through the Delegation, the Party wants to gradually control people comprehensively. Therefore, the proposals of the former delegation have not escaped the above.
The Communist Party offers many privileges to the Youth Union organization to create illusions and misidentify the goals of the Vietnamese youth. Restricts intellectual development in an age group with the most romantic, creative and energetic life.
The Youth Union has restricted the thinking of young people for a democratic, free and fair society. The communist party is different. The Youth Union is an effective extension of the party. I did not join the delegation because of that.
There are too many advantages
Information from the Central Youth Union website shows that this organization spends about VND 350 billion per year from the state budget. However, this figure is difficult to accurately reflect the actual Union payment.
Looking at the headquarters, the people, the vehicles that this organization has, will analyze this in some way. Not less than any ministry and from central levels to communes, towns and villages.
In Vietnam, the path of political advancement through the Youth Union organization is always safe, faster, and sets a “ladder” to a high position. Therefore, many “red princes” in Vietnam are often overwhelmed in the task of union work.
The government and the Communist Party have had many special favors for organizing the Youth Union from the central to the local level.
In Ho Chi Minh City, since 1996, the Department of Science and Technology has provided scientific research funds for people under 35 through the Incubator Program for Technological Innovation and Young Science.
However, the Department does not grant money directly but through City Union. For many years Thanh Doan assumed 30% of the total research funding to cover the expenses of managing research topics. While this general provision for administrative expenses is limited to 5%.
The city’s Department of Science and Technology is still in charge, but Thanh Doan is the research unit, although Thanh Doan has no laboratories, equipment, or scientific personnel.
The research leader is usually the institute, the school, the company where the project manager works, or is scientifically sound.
Thanh Doan became a superhero. Head of the theme manager. With the label “Doan”, this organization easily uses equipment elsewhere, the gray matter of other scientists need not be opened, applied, borrowed or paid.
In the pre-acceptance test of the scientific council’s research paper, there were more Union officials who didn’t need to talk about science.
In 2013, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung ordered the Youth Union organization to build a youth social network with an estimated budget of $ 200 million.
Fortunately, this stopped.
Young people in Vietnam today need not to have the Ministry of Youth, but to unleash ideology so that they understand how freedom, democracy, civilization …
Young people do not have to think about self-censorship, to be overcome by fear. That is the way to activate creativity, contribute to the development of the country in technology, technology, economy, culture …
Giving youth truly future owners of the Vietnamese homeland is not solely determined by the Communist Party.
Comparing Singapore to a small number of people who still have the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Vietnam should have the same way that Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, President of the National Assembly, can only speak for herself.
Ms Ngan should see that Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the United States, France, Israel … there are no Young Communist Union organizations, young people in these countries are constantly creating creativity, their countries are more developed.
Vietnamese youth should be free to choose their own organizations outside of study and work time by abolishing the Youth Union monopoly on schools, from high schools, colleges, universities and offices. State companies.
It is necessary to remove the Youth Union organization before establishing the Youth Ministry, not the update.
