WHO: Europe’s epidemic is likely to continue to be more stressful
So far, the world has recorded more than 44.8 million cases and more than 1,180,000 deaths caused by Covid-19 in 217 countries and territories.
The United States is the country most affected by the epidemic, followed by India and Brazil.
Europe is the rapidly spreading Covid-19 epidemic that is difficult to control. The number of new cases confirmed within 24 hours in Europe exceeded the number of new cases per day in the US in October. The World Health Organization says that daily deaths in Europe increased by nearly 40% this week compared to last week. Among them, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Russia had the highest number of deaths. This situation threatens to overwhelm the ability to test, track the pathogen, and isolate the infected person. Consequently, both authorities and health experts warned that the epidemic in Europe could remain tense in the near future.
In Asia, the second after India in number of cases is Iran, followed by Iraq.
In Southeast Asia, Indonesia is the largest outbreak in the region, followed by the Philippines and Singapore.
