On October 16, the patient returned from Russia to Vietnam on flight VN5062, entered through Van Don Airport (Quang Ninh). Later, this person was transferred to isolation in the 855 Regiment, Military Command of Ninh Binh Province, and a sample was taken for the SARS-CoV-2 test 2 times 1, giving negative results.
On October 19, the patient had a second sample, the test result at Ninh Binh General Hospital on October 20: positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently in quarantine and is being treated at the Cau Yen Area Clinic, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.
Patient 1143 She is a woman, 33 years old, and her address is in Ky Anh City, Ha Tinh Province.
Patient 1144 He is a male, 8 months, son of patient 1143.
On October 20, these two people returned from Angola to Vietnam on flight VN8. After entering through Van Don Airport, they were immediately quarantined at Regiment 831, Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province.
Test results on October 20 at the Bac Giang Province Center for Disease Control showed that the previous two cases were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
As of 6:00 p.m. on October 21, Vietnam had registered 1,144 people infected with Covid-19, of which 691 cases were caused by domestic infections. During the last 49 days, our country has not registered new cases in the community.
The number of reported cases cured in the country is still 1,046 cases. Of the 98 who were still in treatment, 5 patients were negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times in a row, 3 were negative for the second time, and 10 were negative for the first time. The number of deaths caused by Covid-19 remains at 35 to date.
Regarding the quarantine situation, the number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic area who require isolation has not changed significantly compared to the previous days. To date, Vietnam has quarantined 13,929 people, including 168 cases of hospital isolation, 12,678 people in other centralized isolation facilities, the rest in homes and places of residence.
