According to the notice from the United States Department of Justice on December 17 (US time), 6 people were indicted, including Adam Dean Fox, Barry Gordon Croft Jr., Ty Gerard Garbin, Kaleb James Franks, Daniel Joseph Harris and Brandon Michael-Ray Caserta. They are all in Michigan except for Croft, who lives in the state of Delaware.

The subjects monitored Whitmer’s whereabouts and tested a homemade explosive device to distract security forces.
The remaining seven are members of a militia group called the Wolverine Watchmen, suspected of searching the home address of local police in an attempted attack, starting a civil war. This group also planned to attack the state parliament in the city of Lansing and kidnap government officials.
These seven people have previously been charged with many crimes, including supplying tools for terrorism, using illegal weapons, and illegally joining gangs.
The FBI discovered the conspiracy in early 2020 through social media. An FBI source joined the target group’s meeting in June, in which the subjects established a self-reliance society through peaceful and violent activities.
This group then planned to kidnap Michigan Governor Whitmer before the US presidential election on January 3, but the plan failed.
Ms. Whitmer has been repeatedly criticized by US President Donald Trump for issuing an order to block the Covid-19 epidemic. Right-wing militias have demonstrated in Lansing to protest Whitmer’s isolation order.
