Speaking to the UN Security Council, the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), Mr. David Beasley, said that in 2020, the world will face the human crisis. worst religion since World War II.

The WFP executive tested positive for Covid-19 in March and is currently in the recovery process.
“In the worst case, we may have to see famines in about 30 countries. In fact, in 10 of these countries, we have more than 1 million people on the brink of hunger, “said Mr. Beasley.
According to the WFO, in 2019, the 10 countries with the worst food crisis were Yemen, Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Syria, Sudan, Nigeria and Haiti.

Mr. Beasley called on countries to sponsor more for WFP and ensure a smooth international transportation network to maintain the global supply chain.
