Information from Ha Giang Province authorities, the accident occurred at 10:30 pm 8-11 in Ban Mo Village, Dong Van City, Dong Van District.
At that time, the Ushang 23A-071.95 control vehicle was carrying 7 people, including 1 driver and 6 tourists, who were going from Dong Van City to Ban Mo Village.
While walking along a steep winding road between villages that ran down the Nho Que River in the Ban Mo village area, it suddenly sank to a depth of about 100 meters.
The accident caused 3 deaths at the scene, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Thuong (47 years old), Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tuyet (58 years old) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung (50 years old), all living in Da Nang city.
Four other injured people include Mr. Tran Nhan Triet (62 years old), Mr. Tran Cong Thinh (26 years old), Mr. Nguyen Dang Duy (22 years old, all residing in Da Nang city) and the driver named Qua (temporarily residing in the city). Dong Van City, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province).
According to the information, the driver is now seriously injured so he is in an emergency operation, the remaining 3 injured have broken arms and legs.
Upon receiving the news, the C08 Ministry of Public Security sent a task force to the scene to coordinate with the Ha Giang police to quickly report to the scene and take the injured to the Dong Van District General Hospital for emergencies.
The police also organize the investigation of the cause of the accident, take blood samples to analyze the driver’s alcohol and drugs.
