On the night of March 10, the Hai Phong City Health Department gave urgent information after receiving news from the Hanoi Center for Disease Control about two COVID-19 cases located in Le Chan district from Noi Bai to Australia.

Specifically, Ms NTLH (42 years old) and her son TH (18 years old, living in 184 Nguyen Cong Tru, Le Chan District, Hai Phong City) tested positive for COVID-19 when they traveled from Noi Bai to Australia .

The tracking results have the following travel times:

On February 26, going to Hanoi, the test result for SARS-CoV-2 was negative.

On February 28, I flew from Hanoi to Australia (with transit in Singapore), to Australia in 1-3.

Within 2-3 days, the child had a weak positive test result; The test result is negative for the mother.

On March 3, the boy had a positive test result.

On March 6, the mother tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Hai Phong Health Sector urgently zoned and investigated the living loved one, the person in close contact and the person involved in the case.

According to Ms Pham Thu Xanh, COVID-19 Epidemic Control Group Leader, Hai Phong City, at 9 pm on March 10, the districts of this city reviewed and discovered 5 cases of F1 and another 35 cases were associated with cases.

The Health Department took samples for testing, transferred 3 isolated cases of F1 to Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital 2, another 2 isolated cases of F1 at home (due to pregnancy). Currently, the Hai Phong City Preventive Medicine Center has immediately tested samples from the previous F1 cases for results to inform the city to deal with the progress of the disease.

The Le Chan District People’s Committee, the Health Department and the Le Chan District Medical Center (Hai Phong City) also came to the case address on Nguyen Cong Tru Street to investigate epidemiology, spray disinfection, blockade and behavior tracking.
